This was the Last Hurrah

Yes, I am hanging up my apron. I will be looking for a place to go next year. I have loved doing it, but it gets a little harder each year. I will still make candy for Christmas.....that I love to do. I love seeing any of the family. You all have been great. Hope everyone has a great New Year....

Getting Ready !!!!

Well, it is that time of the year where my kitchen will have a very sweet smell to it. Altho I don`t eat a lot of sweets, I love making candy. We are doing fine here....need to go get our 50.00 gifts. Dad has fun helping pick the gifts, do not always seem right, but I let him pick out what he thinks is a good gift. I would put some pictures in, but my camera is not working. Think Dad is getting me one. I kinda miss it. Hoping to see you on Christmas, if not....hope you have the very best of Holidays.

Glad to be back

Since the last time I was on, there has been an addition to this family. Kendall`s a daddy. He has another son. His Name is Jackson Carter. He is beautiful.....

Well, here I am back. Had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It is the last one I will be having, so it went out with a bang....locked my keys in my trunk. ok, I am going to check and make sure this posts.

This is just an update. We are both doing fine now, after Deans trip down a flight of escalator stairs, hanging on to his bag....He was a pretty bruised up mess for a few days. He is doing very well now. We went to Shonna and Joes party in Des Moines. We surprised everyone !!! She had a great party. There was a lot of people there. We ate and Grandpa was ready to come home. We did have a great time. I was going to put some pictures on, but cannot get them to load. When I get it figured out, I will put them on. Dad and I went to a car show at Mopar today. We walked around, looked at all the cars, talked to David, he took the truck to the show....then we came home. Dad is asleep in his chair...I am gonna end this and go over and visit Jeanette. Will write more when I can get the pictures to load...Lov and Peace...

Hello Everyone !!!

Guess it is about time I do some blogging. It has been quite a while. Took me a while to get to my posting, I forgot how.....LOL. Well here we go.....
I do suppose by now you all know we have a new addition to our family, and here is a look at Mr Bentlee.

We also had a great time when Deano, his mom Cindy and his brother Tommy stopped to see us. It was so nice to see Cindy, and we love seeing Deano, but wait til you see Deano with his brother Tommy............WOW...they are so much alike, don`t you think so......

Well, Dean got to go to Detroit, Mich. on a train with Golby and Arlo. He had a nice time, then a week later it was time to head home. Dean took the escalater...literally, the fast way. Kinda with his suitcase ahead of him....didn`t look very good. He is doing good now. He had a very sore arm, and other parts of the anatomy. It has healed up pretty good.
Steve was here for a few days, and it was so much fun to see him. He is sure nice and tan...pretty cool car too.

Next blog I will put some good pictures of Ashleys shower on. Bout done for now...Have a great day !!!!!

Hey Dan, I listened to Carris Underwoods video, How Great Thou Art, I have never heard it sung that wonderful. She did an awesome job. .....Steve and Bonnie, glad we will be seeing you up this way soon.....Robyn, you took quite a great picture, espically of your tongue, sure you weren`t drinking some of that blue poison !!!! wow....what a party, what I remember of it...

This was quite a week-end. Dean and I went to Des Moines for the Easter week-end. We stayed at Dan and Robyns. We had a lot of fun, according to what I have been told. I drank the blue poison, walla, end of the night for me....mental, not physcial. I evidently cleaned off the table behind our table, with part of my body...do not recall this.Guess I was not ready to leave the party...but they said I was, I am sure the people behind us were very glad to see me GONE !!! All I know is my arm was hard to lift the next morning, almost as hard as it was to lift my head....no more blue anything for me......

yes indeed, it is time to write my blog. Was it ever a long ride to Texas, and it will be the last time we drive there. We went to some flea markets, went to the zoo..... it was all a lot of fun, but...............it was nice coming home. It is so nice here, love the quiet. I am redoing all the floors, and rearranging the furniture. In a couple weeks, I will be having a shower for Ashley. I am waiting to hear from her so I can set the date for the baby shower. Guess I better go fix something, will write more soon...Lov to all

Guess it is about time for me to get some news on my blog. Well, Dean and I are all alone now. Everyone is all moved out. Been 3 days, it really seems kinda strange. We are loving it. Well, I still haven`t got my car back yet....the car I am using is great. It is a 2011 Tyota Cayrola. Took everything out of Dads and my bedroom today and washed and waxed the hardwood floors. Boy, it really looks nice now. I am gonna do one room a day. I made pork chops, mixed frozen veggies (love them) and french fried potatoes. It tasted great. Guess I will close for now, love to all.

well, monday i took care of jeanette. i parked my car around the corner from paxton because of the snow and ice.....wrong, my car got hit. the police came to jeanettes door and asked me if i owned a pontiac bonneville. yup, it got hit. the girl stopped that hit me, she was from college. she did call the police....anyway they came and my car has some side damage. she has insurance so I am waiting for them to do an appraisal. Will keep you all posted.

Hello, Hello

It has been quite a while since I have written in my blog. I have been very impressed with both Steve and Dan`s blogs. I love reading them. Mine is just updates. Dad and I have been busy getting the office packed up to sell. There is still so much stuff in the office. We have sold and gotten rid of the cases. We also sold this guy a bunch of coin supplies. Now I am going through the creamers and sugar set, and there is a lot of them. We are also going through the pottery. I cannot believe how much stuff we have in that office. Dad is working every day. We are going to take a vacation this year. I am so excited...and we have not made any plans as to where it will be. We are going to make a trip to Texas, and then go from there. Hey, you all take care...we love you....MOM and DAD

Happy Valentines Day

Hope everyone had a nice day, I sure did. I was going to go to Sarah`s grandmas funeral, but forgot thats the day I watch Jeanette. It was to short of a notice to get someone, so I stayed with her. I am glad I at least got to see Sarah, even if it was at the Boat. Dean took me to Olive Gardens for my Valentine Dinner on Sat. Monday we always meet at Point After.  Pat and Peg were there, Stan, and Phyliss. The beer was good, food also was good. It was a very nice time......will be talking to ya all again real soon...

Hello, again

It has been quite hectic around here. Brandon and Sam were out looking for a trailer. They want to start out with that and later get a house I think. Andy and Megan found a place and will be moving on the 1st. They will have a place where the kids can play, and they can move around. We have been selling stuff out of the office, to a guy that is opening a shop. He said he wants us to come see the shop when he opens, and he would appreciate any advice we can give him. He bought our glass cases we had in the office, a whole bunch of coin holders, books and a bunch of coin boxes.  He also bought a cabinit in the basement, and will come get it when he is almost ready to open the shop. Not much else is going on......will keep you all posted.

Boy is the time ever going fast....it seems like we just had Christmas. Andy and Megan have found a place to live, they get to move in March 1st. They are very happy.  I am happy for them too, this is hard for the boys. The boys will love their new place. Ashley and Ryan got a puppy. Is it ever cute.  I have been putting some things on ebay, and it is good sometimes, and not so much other times. It is some of the junk I have around here. I really need to get rid of. We are finally getting over the flu, or whatever it was. It really took the wind out of our sails. We went to Point After last night for supper. We met Pat and Peg, also Stan. We had a very nice time....Enough for now, catch you all later......................

Well, Dean is on the mend and he is back at work. I cannot believe it is Friday already, where is the time going???  Was so glad to here Sarah delievered a beautiful baby.  The parents were elated. Sarah did a remarkable job.   So Steve, are you enjoying your retirement....Bonnie, how about you. Well, it seems like we are going to have a nice day. It isn`t a heat wave, but it is above zero...I will take it. We went to point after last night. Dean and I split a pizza. I am so proud of him. He is doing so well on eating  and not stuffing. I really think he would be feeling better if he hadn`t caught a cold. I am gonna put a couple more things on ebay this afternoon.  We are just takin it easy, like we have anything else to do. Luckly, Dean is still working every day. Today is lunch with the guys at Olive Gardens. Dean really enjoys that. I am going to go to the boat for lunch. I have a 15.00 dollar coupon. Might as well ues it, goodness knows I have paid for it...Lov ya,  more later

This is really sad, we did not get out of bed until 10:45. It was so nice and warm, we just laid and talked, maybe a little more...LOL. We got up, I made waffles for the man, juice coffee and a banana. He weights 227 now. He started at 240. I am very proud of him. His legs are not swelling like they were. He seems to feel better, I can tell, because he sleeps a lot better in his recliner now..LOL. We had lunch, Lasaugna, and it was a small piece with a glass of water. The rest is packaged for him to take for lunch. guess that is about it, we are waiting for the game to start...later

Another Day

Well, it started snowing this morning. Was hoping we were done for a couple days...NOT !!!  It is a light snow, but continous. Dan, I have not touched a cigerette since the 26th of Dec. I am doing good, and hope I can keep it up. Sounds like you guys had fun in the everglades. You got some good shots. well, that is about all for now,,,ebay is doing ok too...:Lov to all

things are going pretty good for dad and I. We have a couple people here at the time, while they try and get things squared around, which is not easy. Seems like one thing goes wrong, and you think you are getting it fixed, BAM< something else happens. They are really trying. They are good to help us too, which we really do appreciate.  Andy and Megan will be going to Texas I think either Fri. or Sat.  Hope the roads are good for them so it will be a nice vacation. Bet they have been missing the boys. I am doing ebay....so so. I am so I can get rid of some of the junk I have..............guess thats all I have for now::::::::::::::::::::later

WEll, today Diane headed back to Texas. Diane, Brittney, Breylyn, Kendon and T T.  I talked to her a little bit ago, and they were already in Kansas.  Diane has her two grandsons for a week, then Andy and Megan are going to Texas in a week when Andy starts his vacation, and get the boys. Diane LOVES her grandkids, and they love her too. They are great kids. I still have not had a smoke.  Sure is taking a lot of will power....ok guys, this is my update...more at a later date.

Hey, how is everyone. We are doing pretty good here.....it is nice having Diane here for a little bit, but when the weather is good, she will have to go back. She is loving her time with the grandkids (and the rest of the family too).   I am going to get into Ebay again. It is a little different that it used to be. Here it is the 4th and I still have not got the results. Sure has been some long days. I did talk to the dr office Mon. aft. and they said there were a couple cultures that he had done that were not back yet. She is going to contact me as soon as they get them, hopefully today.  Hope it will be good news.......................

A New Year

Sure hope this is the beginning to a new and better year. I am ready for some happy times. We both are. I get my results tomorrow from Dr Bacon. That is what will start my new year off. I still have not touched a cigerette, and don`t want to.  Thats about all I have for now......

New Years Eve

Brandon got home from work at about 11, I think and he and Sam left. Dad was in his chair watching tv. I was trying to set up a blog. and having a real hard time. Finally I have it. Now I need to figure out how to put pictures on...LOL. Brandon and Sam got back with a bottle of champane. They asked dad and I if we wanted a glass,,,,,,dad said no, I indeed said yes.  We had a little toast, sat in the frontroom til Midnight, did the kiss and its 2011.  I quit smoking, Dean is taking lunch to work, and going to try lose weight. WE shall see. Don`t have much else to say................Just wish everyone a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Love to you all.
